This 1976 children's series was produced in Australia in partnership with Paramount, and was distributed around the world. The premise was a throwback to movie serials of the 40s and a sort of precursor to 'Lost'. A multinational group of children are sailing around the world; in a hurricane five of them are separated from the rest and end up on 'the lost islands', where people are living as they did in the 1800s. They are ruled by 'Q', a 200-year-old masked man. The adventures continued for 26 episodes. The catchy theme song neatly lays out the premise; it is written and sung by Michael Caufield.
