Jet Airways shares jumped as much as 7 per cent on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday. The surge in Jet Airways share price came after reports emerged that Tata Sons is in pursuit of a controlling stake in the debt-laden carrier. At 1:13 pm, Jet Airways share price was at Rs. 275.50, up Rs. 17.60 or 6.8 per cent on the NSE, against a 0.6 per cent rise in benchmark index Nifty. Jet Airways shares hit an intraday high of Rs. 278.75 on the bourse on Thursday, from their previous day's close of Rs. 257.90.
