APV’s documentary for the National Geographic Channel entitled “inside: The Emperor’s Treasure” first aired in late 2007, and was one of the only films commissioned by NatGeo Asia to be picked up by all the worldwide NatGeo channels. In addition to filming in three countries, the documentary also features extensive 3-D animation and historical recreations. It was Highly Commended in the Best Documentary category at the 2007 Television Asia Awards.
It is the story of the world’s largest collection of Chinese art and how The National Palace Museum in Taiwan is bringing this priceless collection to life through state-of-the-art 3D technology to create a virtual museum. Making old objects come alive through innovation allows the NPM to now reach a global audience to educate, entertain and share one of the world’s greatest treasures.
