Serum vs Vital plugin vst is better than vital. I show you why its better than vital
Serum is more widely used so way more tutorials to learn it, vital is less expensive. Overall they are pretty similar in functionality

If I had to choose one to use I would choose Serum without a question. Not that Vital is bad, I just prefer some little things in Serum over vital and I feel like the workflow in Serum is faster overall. Also, in my experience vital uses more cpu but someone should probably test that.

Vital definitely can use more cpu in my experience also. I just bought a new computer and vital was actually my first thought of a synth to test how far I could push the processor. On my old computer I could easily cause glitches with one instance of vital if I pushed the stereo modulation and oscillator voices over 3-5

I really like Vital's chorus. The visualizer makes it really easy to use, and being able to set the rate to Freeze is a really great.
Also, Vital has two filters in the main page, this is so incredibly useful for making layered sounds without having to open multiple instances of the synth.

Serum has waaaay more presets and tutorials for free and that makes a huge difference too. You can remake most this stuff in vital but if you gotta use some 69db reverb filter or something then vital just won't do it

When I was adjusting to Vital, I found out you can use the Blend slider on the filter to change how many notches are in your phaser. That's just one extra layer of variation that can be helpful for making bass sounds.
But when I was new to Vital, I also thought that some waveforms I imported from Serum sounded off, and that even on high quality settings, it sounded like it wasn't as clean as Serum. But I just double checked right now, and I can't hear any difference.
I still use both because each one has its strengths and weaknesses. But I did own Serum long before I heard of Vital.

I like the UI, filters, and effects more in Serum. In terms of pure features though, Vital has Serum beaten.

Vital has crazy harmonic stretching capabilities.
