In The Great Conversation, we ask perhaps the most urgent question of all: “How should we live?” “We” ask, first-person plural: within a community of conversation, from the standpoint of our shared humanity, in dialogue with some of the greatest spirits to meditate on the question. This week, we discuss fragments of writings from two pre-socratic philosophers: Heraclitus & Parmenides.
The Great Conversation meets on Wednesday evenings online through zoom! This semester we look at Origins & Empire, reading texts from Gilgamesh through Augustine's Confessions. Visit us online to RSVP and add your voice to the Conversation: [ Ссылка ]
