The beaches of Jurerê Internacional and Jurerê Tradicional are the most popular tourist spots in Florianópolis.
The Jurerê beach is divided in two distinct parts. On one side, is a traditional beach which is frequented and visited by families. On the other side, the Jurerê Internacional has the fame and air of Miami Beach.
The right side is made up of summer houses and inns, frequented by families. The left side is a planned neighborhood of the highest standard. The entire area is taken over by mansions, where you can see many imported cars, such as Ferraris and Porsches.
In summer, the strip of sand is crowded, but it is very clean, so that invites you to take a sunbath. At night, parties held by serving sparkling wine are common.
With 3.5 km in length, the beach starts at a rocky barrier, close to the São José da Ponta Grossa Fortress and ends in a small hill on the right side. The sand strip tide is a strip of strip between 10 to 30 m from the tipping point.
Practically the entire beach has a strip of native vegetation between the beach and the buildings.
