Learning drums can be the best fun you can have without getting arrested but It can be so frustrating when your learning a new groove and you forget exactly how a section is played, or even worse you forget the entire groove. The way to avoid this is learning note values and this is where to start. Its all about crotchets, quavers and semi-quavers, or if your in america and love changing the way things are done by the rest of the world ;) they are quarter, eight and sixteen notes.
