Storyteller - Live at Studio Sextan (Malakoff) - December 2017
Guitar: Biréli Lagrène
Percussions: Mino Cinelu
Upright Bass: Larry Grenadier
Between the recording of "Storyteller" and its release, Biréli Lagrène played the album in a live session at Studio Sextan.
Joined by two of the most famous musicians of the jazz world, Larry Grenadier (Brad Mehlau's bassist) and Mino Cinelu (Miles Davis, Sting...) on percussions, this session was highlighted by the rendition of "One Take". Carried by a Latin rhythm and a gentle and cheerful theme, this track gives us a glimpse of the soundscape that Biréli is capable of.
Leaving his predilection Gipsy domain, Biréli Lagrène has asserted with Storyteller his recognition as a leading jazz guitarist.
