Time for some Devildriver! A classic from the Last Kind Words album, Clouds Over California.

Tuning - D Standard - DGCFAD

Slight correction - the tremolo riff in the chorus (bar 97 2:13) the tab is correct, it should be 14 to 11. I accidentally recorded 15 to 11 which is what you're seeing and hearing in the video.

Note - the tremolo in bar 33 on the 5th and 4th fret is sometimes played live on the 3rd string. On the record it sounds like it's all on the 4th string. Also I added an extra bend in bar 125 - on the record it's held from the previous bar.

A slightly tricky one to get up to speed. I'd recommend starting with the lower harmonies as I feel they are very slightly easier. Watch out for the extra note in the intro too - the bar of 9/8.

The harmonic riff will take a bit of practise to get clean. I use down down up up for the first harmonic phrase on the 5th and 7th, and alternate picking for the second phrase on the 5th and 7th frets.

Aim to lock in the tremolo picking in with the kick drum for the verse and especially the chorus. You'll know when it's right as you'll be pulling the heavy riff face.
