Local Dance Commissioning Project awardee Maverick Lemons debuts his new work highlighting the strengths of President John F. Kennedy’s character and view of his presidency as an unfinished journey and quest for justice, courage, innovation, peace, and service. Serving a total of 1,036 days in office, Kennedy was often called the “President of a Thousand Days.” Titled On the Brink, the work will be a celebration of JFK’s successes, a comparison to contemporary events, and a moment of questioning. Part of the JFK Centennial Programming.
