I would like to give a special thank you to Deering Banjo for the inspiration for making this video based on an article of a similar theme. The tenor is popular in Ireland, but is almost unknown elsewhere with non-musicians. It's a real shame too, the tenor banjo is far more versatile than people realize.

All images are in the public domain excluding the Poster for "Deliverance". The poster belongs to Warner Bros and all credit and copyright belongs to them. I was not able to find much information about the picture of the poster, the original source is from the Wikipedia article on "Deliverance".

There may have been other contributing factors to the demise of the tenor banjo, but as far as I know, these subjects mentioned here are accurate within a reasonable margin for error.
