To find out more about this car and all things TVR head to: [ Ссылка ]
In an automotive world of ever changing boundaries and norms, it seems that the big hitting car companies always manage to keep their heads on top.
Sure, you may not get the same pub-attending, carb fettling gentlemen talking fondly about their Lamborghini Huracan on a Sunday afternoon, but you will get a 9 year old wishing he could have one. Evidence then that the hypercar manufacturers will always stay popular.
However, if said 9 year old did a bit more research, I’d practically guarantee that they’d rip the shiny green prancing bull poster off their bedroom wall and replace it with one of a TVR.
Why? Because a TVR beats a modern supercar in almost every way. And the best car to help me prove this point is the beautiful, rare and extremely powerful car in the video; a stunning Lazer Blue 2005 TVR T350T.
The T350 hit the scene in the summer of 2003, extending the Tamora blood line and acting as a smaller, more compact variant of the Tuscan, whilst still sharing its Speed Six engine.
This example is rather special too, as it doesn’t house a 350 bhp, 3.6 litre engine, but instead a full fat 4.0 litre, very rare in these cars, especially a T350T where the ‘T’ stands for Targa top. So let’s talk about that shall we? Indeed this supercar just keeps getting better and better as the special roof design makes this 175 mph GT even rarer.
In 2004 it joined the T350C (C standing for coupe) housing a pair of removable panels that could be stowed in the boot. It cost an extra £2000 over the standard car, meaning only 70 were produced, a real shame seeing as the panels were very well made and structural rigidity was in no way compromised.
Over the years, many journalists have called the T350, in any form, the ultimate TVR, and they’re even more exclusive now; only 9 2005 T350T’s are still registered on UK roads, and not all of them have the amazing, naturally aspirated 4.0 litre straight six like this one.
It’s one of, if not the, very best example out there with too many high performance upgrades to count.
Overall, a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Tesla may aesthetically please a younger generation of automotive dreamers, but no car gives the pure, manual driving thrills of a TVR.
It’s about time the posters were switched around.
