Deputy National leader Perin Davey has called out the Albanese government for spreading “misinformation” on nuclear energy.
According to the Newspoll, 42 per cent of Australians approve of the Coalition’s nuclear plan, while 45 per cent are against it.
13 per cent of voters are yet to form an opinion.
“When you point out that the rest of the world are moving towards nuclear … people sort of scratch their heads and go why isn’t Australia going there?” Ms Davey told Sky News Australia.
“Remember, we’re not starting from scratch. We already have a nuclear industry.
“We’ve had a nuclear reactor since the late 50s.
“People are starting to open their eyes to the misinformation that the Labor government are spreading.”
