Keep your head behind the ball at impact. Although golfers tell each other to keep their head down in the golf swing, this advice isn't quite correct. On the backswing, the head will shift slightly off the ball, and it will stay behind the ball though impact. This will help you hit more into the back of the ball instead of down on top of it.
