Engine idling. First lightly press (feather) the gas pedal. Notice that the engine speed first drops slightly before surging. After releasing the gas pedal, the engine speed drops past idle and bounces a few times. On the second attempt the gas pedal is snapped quickly. After releasing, the bouncing is even more pronounced.
