OLD SCHOOL FRIED CALF LIVER AND ONIONS
This was one of my moms favorite dishes whenever we went to lubys cafeteria
Very tender flavorful and delicious
RECIPE:
8 oz beef liver
1 cup whole milk
salt and pepper to taste
all purpose flour
vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS:
Soak liver in milk for 3-4 hours to remover iron taste
Remove from milk and season with salt and pepper
Dust in flour and sear on each side 1-2 minutes
Do not over cook your liver it will be tough
In skillet add you onions and cook until sauteed tender
Pour over liver and enjoy
