Today's Foxton Friday paintilong (Friday 27th September, 2024) is about colour.

Well, it's actually about light and shadow - my favourite subject.

Well, it's really about plums. Especially that grey-ish bloom you find on mature plums. That's tricky!

In fact, it's about all of those things.

I'll be going through exactly what colours we need to paint these plums, mixing them and painting with them live, and hopefully, along the way, showing you that supposedly tricky subjects like this are not that hard - if you get your colours right.

And maybe, if we're lucky, a little magic might creep in.
