The RTX 3080 10GB was released over 2 years ago. Now, Nvidia has released the RTX 4070 12GB with close performance to the RTX 3080 10GB. However, why would you pay $599 when you can buy good used RTX 3080s all over the market??! Today in 2023, we revisited the RTX 3080 10GB Super to see if it is still viable at competitive 1440p gaming; and, as always, we tested the RTX 3080 10GB with our usual suite of competitive games - Warzone 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite Chapter 4, Valorant and PUBG. We have paired our RTX 3080 10GB with the fastest Ryzen AM4 gaming CPU, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and the model we are using is the @EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3.

As always, all of our testing is based off real-world gameplays, which truly reflects actual performance of the hardware in-game. Here in OverseerPC, we focus more on real world performance rather than charts and controlled benchmark runs - and we tune settings to Competitive.
