DeShaun Dupree Holton (better known as Proof) was a member of D12, prior to being shot and killed at a nightclub in 2006.

Eminem is a founding member of D12 and was Proof’s close childhood friend. Royce was also a close friend of Proof’s, but during a feud between the group and Royce they both released several very personal disses and turned enemies.

Eventually, in 2006, the feud ended between D12 and Royce, but only after Proof’s death. However, prior to Proof’s untimely death, they had talked out their differences, reigniting their friendship for Proof’s remaining months.
