Frank Leslie's Boats These are still photos of boats and ships by illustrators of the civil war period. Etching a plate was the only way to print in mass. This is how the artist viewed the subjects not always accurate but give a good understanding. This is viewed from the north and published in the north. The book was a collection from newspaper plates, and printed in 1895 by Frank Leslie's wife. Some of the music is from a Folk group headed by Tom Santarsiero and the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, Plymouth MI When they were at Fort Niagara, NY in 8-1-04. See their video.
