It’s winter here brr, I’m cold so today I’m sewing myself a tshirt that can be used as a layering piece. There are several different necklines for this pattern and I’ve chosen the turtleneck or skivvy style long sleeves.
The pattern that I’m using is truly size inclusive and they’ll even draft a pattern to fit you if you don’t fall within their size range- how awesome is that! The pattern is the Tarlee Tshirt from Muna and Broad.
I used a soft jersey cotton and would look great in all colours. I include a few tips too, so it has some sewing hacks for beginners.
Yes, I'll be making more! Why? Cos it's fab pattern, easy to make & is comfy to wear AND you could even style it so you can wear it for work or casual for jeans.
I cut & sewed this top on my kitchen table. I used a sewing machine and my overlocker (serger) but you don't need an overlocker at all, you could just finish the seams another way.
Such an interesting sewing project, this is perfect for sewing for beginners (learn from my mistakes!) or intermediate sewists and I include my own sewing hacks along with sewing tips and tricks in this sewing vlog.
