Deputy Nationals Leader Perin Davey says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s proposed Voice to Parliament goes “well above and beyond” recognition for Indigenous Australians.
“The concern of the Voice is actually enshrining an agency or a body for only one cohort of Australians into our constitution forever,” Ms Davey told Sky News Australia.
“You have Human Rights Commissioners coming out saying this actually potentially goes against the UN Declaration of Human Rights, where everyone should be treated equally.”
