Learn how to play this arpeggio and pedal tone shred lick.
With this shred lick you will learn how to play 2 G major arpeggios 2 A minor, F Major, E Major and a B Flat Major arpeggios (sweeps) and how to join them together with pedal tones.
You will learn how to join all the sweeps together and how to change from 3 string sweeps to 5 string sweeps, using hammer ons and pull offs on the E and G strings.
I will slowly talk you through each pattern with onscreen tabs with what fret to play on what string and what is the best fingers to use.
Before you attempt this lick make sure you can play a few 3 and 5 string arpeggios and have done a few pedal tone shred licks.
TIPS: Make sure your pick is hitting the strings at the same time as your fingers are hitting the notes on the fret board.
This is a series of shred licks to play on guitar that will be posted weekly by Michael Warren for Essential Guitar Lessons. I hope you enjoy these lessons and as always take your time and build your speed.
