With my new kiln, I can now make bigger pots! In a previous video, I showed making a new mold for larger pots. In this video, I use the mold. I use my slip to cast brand new pots. After pouring the slip into my custom plaster mold, the pot forms against the plaster and I pour out the extra slip. After sitting for awhile, I trim the top and pull the pot after it releases. Once the pots are bone dry, I bisque firing. These are too big to dip into my glaze tubs. So I decided to wax the bottom and pour on the glaze using a secondary container to catch it as I pour the glaze. My glaze fire went well and now I have two new big pots!
