My wife Sam and I drove to Nebraska to hunt for the first time on public land. In the sandhills region, the whitetail density is low, but they're somewhat predictable in terms of where to find them. On the first hunt, we did some long range glassing and moved in. Sam ended up getting some close opportunities.
