To jump or not to jump, that is the question.
It depends, the eternal (frustratingly honest) answer.
In my humble opinion, it’s better to step back from a forward fold to plank one leg at a time. Jumping can cause the lower back to take a hit (see the video).
If you do want to jump back then it MAY be better to land straight into your Chaturanga Dandasana., then the shoulders can offer more suspension, though they need to be strong! 🤔
When in doubt - step back one foot at a time.✨
