Sharpening gardening tools made easy. How to clean and sharpen your garden tools. In this video I demonstrate how to clean and sharpen your garden tools (snips, secateurs, loppers, axe, spade and lawnmower blades). I found a nifty little gadget called @multisharp which can be fitted to any power tool and the difference between this gadget and a normal grinding tool is that this is "guided". Your blades fit easily into the notch and all you have to do is make sure that the flat side of your blade goes against the flat side of the gadget and the beveled side goes against the grinding stone.
I keep my grinding stone wet because heat can build up during the sharpening process and it could affect the blade. What I most like about it is that you don't have to remove the blades of your lawnmower to sharpen them which means that you can sharpen the blades every 4 weeks or so during the grass growing season in less than 10 minutes so you have no excuse for pulling the grass out by its hair instead of giving it a good clean cut.
