One-Handed Backhand Power Solution
Imagine an aeroplane trying to take off. If the runway is too small, the plane won't have enough space to build the necessary acceleration to gain enough speed to get off the ground.
However, imagine a really long runway, which gives the plane plenty of room to build up its speed to safely lift off the ground.
Our technique on the one-handed backhand is similar. We need enough space to safely create the needed acceleration so we can create power on the one-handed backhand in tennis.
By lifting the racket head above the grip, with the tip of the racket pointing up towards the sky, you'll create space for the racket so your body can safely build the momentum and create the power that you want on the backhand stroke.
