As the 2020-21 flu season intersects with the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever that the patients and clients we serve, along with the clinical and non-clinical members of our respective practices, health care settings and organizations, are protected from the influenza virus. One of the best preventive tools at our disposal is the flu vaccine. During this special hour-long Comagine Health Hot Topics session, representatives from Immunize Nevada and the Nevada State Immunization Program discuss best practices for providers for how to make a strong flu vaccine recommendation, address common flu vaccine misconceptions, and offer information for how to encourage flu vaccination in your health care facility and in the workplace. Additionally, state and national resources for promoting the influenza vaccine are provided.
