Beginner extended speedflying course for skydivers or paraglider pilots.
How long: ~10 days, depending on weather
Group size: 2-5 person.
Where: Montenegro/Bulgaria
Price: 900 euro
1. Part
During first 2-3 days guys learned to manage the gear and make a million (at least it surely feels like) trial launches in various places and winds. After numerous little flights we're ready for hills with more altitude. It's really important to set up a solid base with launches and wing control before you get to fly, however even at later stages we return to tiny hills to practise in more challenging environment. This part of the course is the most important in our program.
2. Part
The second part of our Beginner Extended course in Bulgaria: after the guys are comfortable with launches and got the feeling of the wing in little flights, we move over to some decent flying altitude. Dobrila is a beautiful mountain giving 800 metres of flying altitude. With the lift/car access we can efficiently practice some manouvres, but the most important is to practice accuracy landings and approaches. And have some fun, finally 😁
3. Part
The final part of our beginner extended speedflying course. The main tasks for the students are:
1. Check the landing area and prepare the landing approach
2. Check the flying line while hiking to know where are the dangerous zones.
3. Hike to the top and find the launching place according to the wind conditions.
4. Prepare the flight/landing plan taking into account the weather conditions and local weather patterns.
5. Have fun 😎
After a successful beginner course you can buy your own gear and aim for basic course in the Alps (with skis or footlaunching). Also you will be able to fly solo on similar simple hills.
As a part of beginner course offer, we welcome our “graduates” come practice within our beginner courses on their own (no fixed fee - donation-based)
