The emerging concern of the final fate of plastics in our environment prompted 2 Mansfield University researchers to undertake a unique and inter-disciplinary collaboration to study the health effects of plastic uptake in animal models as well as in plants.
The research is being led by Dr. Elaine Farkas, Assistant Professor of Physics and Dr. Kristen Long, Assistant Professor Biology who are working with undergraduate students on this important research.
