Arctic Char are a fish that have long captured my attention. I've for many years dreamed of visiting the Arctic to catch one of it most colorful anadromous fish species. In this adventure Sidra and I traveled to one of the most remote places on this planet in West Greenland to target Arctic Char returning from the ocean to their native river and lake systems where they will spawn and overwinter. We were fortunate enough to find an amazing fishing camp run by Inuit Greenlanders who have hunted and fished in the Sassannguit River system for generations. Not only did we have an amazing fishing experience we also got to share in a Reindeer hunt, traditional foraging, and food preservation. The fishing was unbelievably good. I'm not kidding when I say we caught hundreds of fish and contact with a fish happened on nearly every cast. This place is truly "The Good Place."
