Riders from all three MotoGP™ classes took to the recently renamed Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli on bicycles in memory of the local rider who tragically lost his life last year.
The then San Carlo Honda Gresini rider died in a crash at last year's Malaysian race in Sepang, leaving behind a void in the MotoGP™ paddock. The hard charging Simoncelli, often controversial but universally popular, is being commemorated by all riders, who took to the track named after the Italian to show that his legacy still lives on in everyone's memory.
Many thanks go out to the Teknobike Store -- Riccione, who helped make this event happen by supplying a large number of bicycles for the ride, as well as BMW, which supplied additional vehicles for the parade lap.
