FOCUS : 70 years ago, for the first time in History, an atomic bomb was used against civilians, first in Hiroshima and then 3 days later in Nagasaki. The US dealt a gigantic blow to imperial Japan soon forcing it to surrender. But the human cost of the bombing was horrifying. In Hiroshima, 85,000 people were killed immediately or within the next few hours. Others died later plagued by radiation and cancer. Survivors are, to this day, being closely monitored. Our reporters met with one of them.
