We are at the METS Performance lab and joined by Nick Jankovskis to discuss how Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning and Running Technique Coaching all come together.
At the Balanced Runner we have sometimes been critical of Strength & Conditioning, but Paul addresses the exact circumstances that he has a problem with and where strength training can improve your running.
'Movement changes Movement' & 'The foundation of skill and sport is technique' - strength plays a part in how you perform, but it does not automatically mean that you perform the skill in the correct movement.
This was initially filmed as part of the Balanced Runner membership which includes some strength and conditioning programs, but it was a great conversation with Nick on how Strength & Conditioning and Technique coaching come together to improve your running.
