New for 2023 OSF Convention and open to all OSF members. The competition included two target carcass weight ranges - 30 to 35 pounds and 42 to 46 pounds. Approximate live weight targets 68 to 75 pounds and 90 to 100 pounds. Lambs were evaluated live and on a hanging carcass basis. OSF offered lambs nominated, two per OSF district (one per weight class) and were drawn for the competition. All lambs were processed at the new Centre for Meat Innovations and Technology, University of Guelph.
