Chilling 999 calls after 23 year old stabbed in neck during rampage
Chilling 999 calls made by panicked members of the public after a knifeman killed strangers on a night out were released by police.
Zephaniah McLeod, 28, killed a university graduate from Crosby and attacked seven other members of the public in a horrific series of stabbings in Birmingham city centre last September.
The killer, who had paranoid schizophrenia, fatally stabbed 23 year old Jacob Billington.
McLeod was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 21 years at Birmingham Crown Court earlier today, the Birmingham Mail reports.
He admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility, four counts of attempted murder and three counts of wounding.
Audio from eight emergency calls about the stabbings were released by West Midlands Police.
