Before you go into a handstand, you need to learn the way how to safely exit from an upside-down position. Exit safely means that you always bring your feet down.
To eliminate your fear of falling over the top, you need to learn how to fall on your feet, not on your back. For free-standing handstand skills which you desire to achieve, this is the first thing to learn. Let’s dive into it!
Key Point: Educating the body on the motion pattern
🤸🏻Place the palms on the ground shoulder-width distance. This is the starting position. Not from the standing position.
🤸🏻Don’t kick up too much! You only need a bit of hop
🤸🏻Send your hips upwardly, not the legs. Legs just follow.
🤸🏻Shoulders in the same line over the wrists
🤸🏻Gaze between both wrists, not the fingers
🤸🏻Rotate your body and step aside wherever you fall.
🤸🏻Follow your natural reflexion. The body knows more than your brain.
🤸🏻Don’t practice this too much. You will learn the handstands, not failing.
