Here's the LEGO Bucket Wheel Excavator Build I promised last month. It took around 8 hours build time and as I had to work around the time lapse camera and it's battery life, the build took longer than expected. And as I usually don't build too many LEGO Technic sets I wasn't prepared for the enormity of this task.
The LEGO Bucket Wheel Excavator is the Largest LEGO Technic set to date so I should have figured it was going to be a little challenging. And I'm glad I didn't start with the Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant as that one doesn't use the specify which number bags to use, but rather just tells you which part and given there are over 100 different parts it might have been a challenge.
The model is well built, but as you'll see in the video they didn't provide nearly enough aggregate to test the model thoroughly.
But I'm going to have a little more fun before a dissemble this model as I've hinted at the end of the video ;-) Woohoo! Bring it on.
The LEGO Bucket Wheel Excavator is still available from the LEGO shop, but I expect it to be retired very soon.
