Vince Russo was plucked from obscurity as a staff writer on WWE magazine and given the opportunity to write Vince McMahon's wrestling shows. Russo took credit for the Attitude Era and when Vince McMahon added WWE Smackdown Vince Russo decided to jump to struggling WCW, where they hoped Russo would turn around their ailing fortunes. Unfortunately Russo would sink WCW and become one of wrestling's most hated men.
