All weekend, the city of Memphis and the hometown Grizzlies celebrated the contributions and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a full day of events, including honoring NBATV/Turner Sports analysts Steve Smith and Grant Hill as recipients of the 12th Annual National Civil Rights Museum Sports Legacy Award in the name of NBA pioneer Earl Lloyd. The award pays tribute to athletes who have made significant contributions to civil and human rights and who have laid the foundation for future leaders through their sports careers.
