Sky News host Chris Kenny says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s inquiry into former prime minister Scott Morrison’s secret self-appointment “isn’t needed”.
“The Coalition is accusing Albanese of pursuing a political vendetta,” he said.
Mr Kenny said Labor was “hanging its approach” on what other former Liberal prime ministers had said on the matter.
“A Robodebt Royal Commission yesterday, this unnecessary inquiry today,” he said.
"There are only two things needed to clear up this secret ministries saga: a proper apology from Morrison and a simple law to ensure all such appointments are made public in the future.”
