Having discovered a dormouse in their woodland, Heather and Rodney were keen to learn more about helping to conserve this protected species. Now registered as trained monitors with the National Dormouse Monitoring Programme, essential if you want to handle dormice, they are licensed volunteers, capturing data about the dormice living on their site. Their care and expertise are clear as they take us on a dormouse survey - sharing their detailed knowledge about these arboreal animals and the processes involved in important data gathering.
