Get your knees used to it!
I have many people tell me they’d love to be able to kneel again whether it’s to play on the ground with grandkids, clean certain areas of the house, or simply pick something up without fear of being able to get back up ☝🏽
It is possible to kneel on your knees whether you have knee arthritis, bone on bone knees or even a knee replacement. It’s all about building tolerance ✅
A softer, bigger surface like a bed can be a great place to start ☝🏽
First- the all 4s position can help with arm support so your full weight isn’t on your knees. First, hang out here and see how it feels
Then you can progress to adding pillow support which is going to put more weight to your knees the more pillows you use 📶
You can also use the couch but this can be a little harder to navigate sometimes as the surface is usually smaller ☝🏽
Start building confidence in this position then progress to harder surfaces once you feel more comfortable kneeling ✅
Just make sure you’re in the middle of the bed if you are trying! Use support or the help of another person when trying to avoid falls or adverse events ⚠️
