Multiple people were killed following a terrorist attack at places of worship in Russia on Sunday.
According to the BBC, at least seven police officers, a church security guard and a priest were killed in the attack, with 25 others also left injured.
Six of the attackers were killed, with Russian authorities searching for the rest after a coordinated attack on two major cities in Dagestan.
Russian law enforcement agencies confirmed to Russian news agency TASS that the attackers are “adherents of an international terrorist organization”.
One of the attacks was in Dagestan’s largest city of Makhachkala, meanwhile, the other took place in the coastal city of Derbent.
Russian officials confirmed four gunmen were killed in the city of Makhachkala while another two were killed in Derbent.
