You can't fully and functionally strengthen your back without a good degree of back flexibility first. If the muscles aren't moving we can't strengthen them. They just become stiff and painful.
So in this workout we're going to get the spine moving in all of its ranges of movement and then we're going to strengthen the ranges of movement.
