Run-Around #1,2,3,4 and Thruway is a beginner run located at Bromley Mountain. It runs from the summit of the mountain to the ski resort's base area. It is the only beginner trail down from the summit of the mountain and is, therefore, the easiest way down from the summit. The run starts as Run-Around #1 off to the back and left when coming off of the Sun Mountain Express Quad. The trail wraps around the side of the mountain, before turning to go down the mountain. After a while, the trail merges with Upper Thruway, which is an intermediate trail, but the other Run-Around trails avoid the steep parts of the trail, essentially making this whole run a beginner run (even though parts are technically intermediate). Run-Arounds #2,3, and 4 are small trails that just swoop around the steepest parts of Thruway. After Run-Around #4, the run merges with Lower Thruway, which is a beginner trail. Lower Thruway then continues straight back to the base area.
Bromley Mountain is a ski area located in Peru, Vermont. It is located in the Southern half of the state, just miles east of Manchester, VT, and very close to two other ski areas, Stratton and Magic, which together with Bromley, create Vermont's "Golden Triangle" of skiing. Nicknamed "Vermont's Sun Mountain" Bromley is one of the only ski areas in North America whose main side faces due south. This means that Bromley generally faces towards the sun, instead of away from it like most ski areas. This isn't just a gimmick either, in my opinion, it makes skiing more enjoyable. It eliminates the dreaded flat light and provides amazing sights. The only disadvantage, of course, is that facing the sun means the snow may melt faster in the spring (hence why most ski areas do not face in this direction). Besides the sun, Bromley is known as a medium-sized ski area, that is very good for families and skiers, and riders of all levels. Bromley is often overshadowed by other larger, nearby ski areas, which I believe makes it not talked about enough!
