New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has called on residents to please not leave their home “unless they absolutely have to” after the state saw a record number of new COVID-19 infections.
“Just stay home,” Premier Berejiklian said during a media conference on Tuesday.
“Please don't leave home unless you absolutely have to.
“We know where the virus is lurking, we know where the problems are in terms of transmission, it's workplaces and households.
“We just ask people to heed that advice.”
On Wednesday, it was announced there were 633 new locally acquired cases of coronavirus in the state and an additional three COVID-19 deaths.
