Hi, everyone. It's Mary Ann Baynton from Workplace Strategies for Mental Health, and today we're going to talk about perfectionism. You got any? Today more than ever, if you're trying to work from home, if you're a parent who's trying to take care of children, and you're also trying to work and to balance everything, I really want to warn you that perfectionism is your enemy.
That we really need to think about being kind to ourselves, understanding that we're all doing the best that we can, and to let up on the concept that you're going to do it all and do it all well. If you can let go of perfectionism in favor of good enough, you'll find that actually in all areas of your life, you will do better, because you have less tension. So please think about perfection as something that you want to avoid, rather than something that you want to strive for. Take care, and stay well.
