I trust that you are enjoying our IOL Calc Case Study videos where we go into the details of interesting and challenging IOL selections. We reviewed the IOL and toric calculations for this patient in video 1602 and we chose toric monofocal IOLs with a goal of slight myopia in both eyes. This video is the full length cataract surgery from one of the eyes of this patient and I am also happy to report on the final refractive outcome. The patient achieved a final vision of 20/20 in each eye with a refraction of just about -0.25 and this is why we didn't aim for perfect plano but instead chose a target of -0.50 spherical.
